For outdoor prints, which one would be best to print, ABS/ASA/PETG?Updated 4 months ago
For outdoor prints where longevity and durability against UV exposure and weather conditions are critical, ASA is generally the best choice due to its excellent UV resistance and overall durability.
PETG is also a very strong option and is easier to print compared to both ABS and ASA, making it a popular choice for various outdoor applications where slight flexibility is acceptable. That said, if high UV stability is required for long-term exposure, ASA is preferred.
ABS can be used for outdoor prints, but its notable disadvantages regarding UV resistance make it less suitable for prolonged outdoor use compared to ASA and PETG.
