Hard to remove print from the build surfaceUpdated 2 months ago

When bed adhesion gets too strong, it might make it difficult to remove print from the build plate. Please follow the instructions below for easy removal of print:

Check Temperature Settings

Ensure you are using the recommended plate and temperature settings to prevent excessive bed adhesion. Lower the temperature of the bed slightly if needed.

Allow the Plate to Cool Down

Wait until the build plate has cooled down. The different shrinkage rates of the materials can make removal easier.

If this is not enough, you can place the entire build plate with the print in a freezer for 10-15 minutes. The cold temperature will cause the print to contract and potentially pop off the plate.

Use a Spatula or Scraper

Use a spatula or scraper to gently lift the edges of the print. Be careful not to apply too much force to avoid damaging the print or the build plate.

Adjust Nozzle Height

Try slightly increasing the distance between the nozzle and the printing bed to reduce the adhesion of the first layer

Use Adhesive

Try apply adhesives like glue stick which will avoid excessive bed adhesion.

Additional Tips

  • Avoid Excessive Force: Always be gentle when trying to remove a print to avoid damaging the print, build plate, or printer.
  • Regular Maintenance: Regularly clean your build plate to ensure optimal adhesion and easy print removal.

By following these steps and tips, you should be able to safely remove your prints from the build plate. If you continue to encounter difficulties, please contact Overture Service for further assistance.
